Internal influence means intrinsic mode of response and behavior learned gradually through the environment towards the challenges of life. Internal influences when handled in poor manner results into vicious cycle. It promotes the degree of damage by vicious cycle as well. On the other hand, when handled properly, gives strength to cope up with vicious cycles produced by external influences.
These influences are:
- Paradigm
- Accomplishment
- Greed
- Anger
- Possessiveness
- Ambition
- Emotional Intelligence
- Treating learning as one time effort
Firstly, we will explore them one by one here and then will understand how they function in vicious cycles in the section “Cycles produced by their amalgamation”.
PARADIGM
“Let mortals beware of words for with words we lie can speak peace when we mean war but song is true. Let music for peace Be the paradigm For peace means change At the right time”
-W. H. Auden
The universe becomes totally different to us when the paradigm of science changes, when the paradigm of biogenesis that all life comes from life replaced the paradigm of spontaneous generation, when the Charles Darwin's paradigm of natural selection replaced Lamarckism as the mechanism of evolution. It is about doing the science differently. Successive transition from one paradigm to another develops more mature science.
The same way, world becomes totally different to one when the paradigm of one about oneself changes, when one starts first with self, with the most inside part of self, with character and intent, with promises to oneself and others.
The paradigm is so native to our mental processes that we are hardly responsive of its existence until we don't dedicate our efforts to recognize and renew it, and so, we keep on revolving in the same orbit. If we don't renew, we are in dead orbit, mislaid and omitted. Incomplete and incorrect paradigm is the launch pad of vicious cycle.

ACCOMPLISHMENT
Whatever accomplishment you pride yourself on or can think of in the world, there is someone better than you, and whatever accomplishments you make, somebody helps you.
The mistaken paradigm about accomplishment is to find out from others how I am doing. It's an ill defined criterion. And this very criterion stirs up the vicious cycle.
Life is a pursuit and not completion, it is responding to winning and losing the same way. Discipline in character is the source of strength for this.
Life is a pursuit and not completion, it is responding to winning and losing the same way. |
GREED
For greed, all nature is too little.
- Seneca
The obsession for achievement results into greed. And the cure is love. Love is to look material things with gentle charm yet not being attached to them but in service to them for common good.
Greed has no kindness for beautiful nature or humanity. It is ruthlessly ready without a moment's hesitation to crush beauty and life and can push into the tough turmoil of intrinsic anxiety and unhappiness and the cycles of creation of obstacles in understanding the truth of happiness and inner peace. This makes one less of sniff to smell the vicious smoke.
Hold on or express, anger is damaging only. It will damage you, your relationships and your environment. |
ANGER
One more impediment to the happiness and inner peace is anger. It appears when the greed is not satiated and gives birth to fear and suspicion. The end of anger is always shame which erodes one's personal integrity and moral fibers and heavily taxes one's tranquility. Hold on or express, anger is damaging only. It will damage you, your relationships and your environment. You need to have detached attention towards the problems not people. Anger brings intermittent damaging quantum in vicious cycles.
POSSESSIVENESS
Possessiveness gives shock. Because of attachment to our caste, language, community, society, family, individuality or country, emotional ebbs and tides disturb our calm. Anger and possessiveness constitute two pronged fork aiding vicious cycle to continuously pierce on our sensitivity and moral constitution.
AMBITION
It is great to make goals and achieve them but when the drive meddles up the process of conscious of right and wrong, it may generate agony.
Without ambition one starts nothing, and when you start you have to earn the prize, and for that you have to win. Ambition makes you in the habit of winning. Habit of winning snatches learning, heartwarming opportunities, compassion, and moreover, quest for excellence. This hinders one to know the way to come out of misery.
EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Today, we have mechanized much of mental activities which used to be the top activity performed by human beings. Now is the era of emotional intelligence. You have to have a high emotional quotient to succeed. Low quotient doesn't allow you to switch to higher orbits that result into deterioration. Low quotient doesn't allow one to see the things from an observer's eye, it makes one involved in things to the degree he is low. He never comes to know how to elevate and is not able to find out challenges in situation and is rather concerned about people and consequences. And it is a big mislead, pulling towards the bottom of vicious cycle.
When you had mugged up A to Z and your teacher exclaimed your accomplished effort, that would have been a great success for you. If that has been the end accomplishment for you where were you today? |
TREATING LEARNING AS ONE TIME EFFORT
When you had mugged up A to Z and your teacher exclaimed your accomplished effort, that would have been a great success for you. If that has been the end accomplishment for you where were you today?
It was just start point for you. The same way whatever you know today, is the start point for tomorrow, and this goes on everyday.
Incomplete and distorted learning makes you a blind walk; you keep on going with the instructions and help of other people and factors. You are neither committed nor confident. You become passive in nature and this passiveness never let you make any breakthrough decision and let you live with
